Moscow City Tour by Car
Red Square, St. Basil`s & Lenin Mausoleum Guided Tour
Russia’s captivating capital will be our focus today. We begin with a drive through its boulevards and avenues for an orientation tour taking in Red Square, the Russian Orthodox cathedral of Christ the Saviour (view from outside) and the New Maiden Convent (view from outside) where the remains of many famous Russians are interred. The panoramic view from the Moscow State University enables us to appreciate the city’s geography, from Victory Park on Poklonnaya Hill to the Olympic Luzhniki stadium and of course, the distant golden domes of the Kremlin. We return to the center for an in-depth guided tour of Red Square, where you will explore brightly-domed St. Basil's Cathedral. Correctly known as the Cathedral of the Intercession, its popular name associates it with a ragged prophet who foretold the Moscow fire of 1547. We’ll continue our sightseeing with a walk along the expansive facade of the GUM department store, pretty Kazan Cathedral and the Kremlin towers. No visit to Red Square can be complete without a stop at Lenin’s Mausoleum, the final resting place of the founder of the Soviet State. Seeing the embalmed body of this iconic figure will be a memorable part of your tour.

A museum for over two centuries, you’ll follow in the footsteps of millions of tourists to discover such exhibits as the chalice of Yuri Dolgorukiy, the helm and armour of Boris Godunov, a collection of over fifty Faberge eggs, works in gold, silver and other precious metals as well as antique weaponry. Leaving the Kremlin, we’ll take a tour of the incredible Moscow Underground, whose sculptures, marble, mosaics and stained glass make this the most beautiful metro system in the world. The city’s many waterways earn it the moniker of the “Venice of the North”. You’ll tour its most unmissable sights: the Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Church of Christ's Resurrection (The Saviour of the Blood) and the famous cruiser Aurora whose cannon signalled the beginning of the Great Social Revolution more than 90 years ago on Lenin’s orders.

We are very happy to have served thousands of happy customers who travelled with us.
I was impressed with the coordination, knowledge, and overall quality of the airport/train/hotel transfers. The tour guides knowledge of the area and attractions was also very impressive.
I was very impressed with the entire tour. I travel frequently and cannot speak highly enough of Go Russia. The level of service was excellent but you felt independent. The guides were extremely good especially Natalia in St Petersburg who deserves a special mention. The four star option of hotel was worth the extra. Everything ran like clockwork.
It was nice to have all the basics handled, including the transfers, but to have enough free time to explore on our own too. We loved the Golden Ring towns, especially Suzdal, and probably wouldn't have visited them if Go Russia hadn't offered them.
Small tour groups. Being able to see important sights and places in the time available. Having some free time to make our own way around. Tour Guides we had were excellent.
It was a balanced tour covering important highlights.
Enough free time to explore on our own. Having the guides available for any help we needed. All guides spoke English very well. The places we toured were fabulous. Way beyond our expectations. The help with the visa process.
Every little detail was catered for so that we felt safe and secure at all times that everything was taken care of. All the detail given before the trip was incredibly useful. Everything was on time and as planned. Guides were absolutely brilliant and their knowledge was amazing.
Help and availability on chat line very pleasant and accurate. Very helpful support with visa application. Size of (most of the time) small group. Always on time and helpful with theater arrangements. Help on stations to make sure we were on right platform. Transfer to and from hotel back to airport on time and pleasant. Guides in Moscow and St. Petersburg excellent. This all made for a very worry free trip. Full program :) very interesting and informative.
Given that it was a short holiday it was essential to have a pick up from the airport and transport arranged to railway stations and a guide with good English to give us the most from our Russian tour. All the tickets to the sites were pre bought which kept queuing down for entry and the holiday went like clock work. It also gave us the flexibility to add on different tours and excursions. Good mix of free time to explore and to participate in organised events.
Your guide did a very good job of answering question and one guide that was outstanding was Natasha ILatovskaya, the hotel in Suzdal was outstanding, they made us feel like we were family. Suzdal Inn was great place to stay!! I wished we could have stayed there longer...
