Ulan Bator
Upon arrival in Ulan Bator, you will be met by your guide and driver. Transfer to a hotel in Ulan Bator. (D).

Baga Gazriin Chuluu (Middle Gobi)
Early morning we will head to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, a unique rock formation which changes colur depending on the time of day. We will also visit the ruins of an ancient temple and explore the area – this sets the scene as we have an early insight into Mongolia’s stunning natural scenery and cultural heritage. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp. Driving distance – 220 km (135 miles). (B/L/D).
In the early morning, we'll embark on our journey to Baga Gazriin Chuluu, an extraordinary rock formation known for its ever-changing colors, influenced by the time of day. Our exploration will include a visit to the ancient temple ruins, allowing us to immerse ourselves in Mongolia's captivating natural landscapes and rich cultural history from the outset. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed along the way, and we'll conclude the day with dinner and an overnight stay at a ger camp. Our drive will cover a distance of 220 kilometers (135 miles). (B/L/D).Day 3
Tsagaan Suvarga
After breakfast visit ruins of Sum Khukh Bird Temple. Continue driving to Tsagaan Suvarga a fascinating white lime stone cliff which resembles a stupa. Picnic lunch. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp. Driving distance – 280 km (175 miles). (B/L/D).
Following breakfast, we'll explore the ancient ruins of Sum Khukh Bird Temple. Our journey continues as we drive towards Tsagaan Suvarga, a remarkable white limestone cliff that bears a striking resemblance to a stupa. We'll pause for a picnic lunch along the way and then reconvene for dinner and an overnight stay at a ger camp. The driving distance for the day will span 280 kilometers (175 miles). (B/L/D).Day 4
Yol Valley
Drive further south. Arrive at the Three Beauties of the Gobi National Park, here we will spend the day on an excursion to the spectacular Yol Valley where we will hike and enjoy the stunning photographic opportunities. Lunch, dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp. Driving distance – 280 km (175 miles). (B/L/D).
We will proceed our journey further south, reaching the Three Beauties of the Gobi National Park. Our day will be dedicated to exploring the magnificent Yol Valley, where we'll embark on a hike and relish the breathtaking photographic opportunities it offers. This adventure will be complemented by a satisfying lunch, followed by dinner and an overnight stay at a ger camp. We'll cover a driving distance of 280 kilometers, approximately 175 miles, to get there. (B/L/D).Day 5
Khongor Sand Dunes
After breakfast we will drive to the remote Khongor Sand Dunes known as the Singing Dunes – the vibrations of shifting sands make natural, magical music. A climb up to the sand dunes will be rewarded with a breathtaking view. In the evening, we will observe a spectacular sunset, please prepare your cameras! Lunch, dinner, and overnight in a ger camp. Driving distance – 200 km (125 miles). (B/L/D).
Following breakfast, our journey continues as we make our way to the remote Khongor Sand Dunes, famously known as the Singing Dunes due to the enchanting, natural melodies created by the shifting sands. The reward for those who climb these dunes is a breathtaking panoramic view. In the evening, we'll have the opportunity to witness a stunning sunset, so be sure to have your cameras ready to capture this magical moment. We'll enjoy lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay in a ger camp, covering a driving distance of 200 kilometers, which is approximately 125 miles. (B/L/D).Day 6
Bayanzag (Flaming Cliffs)
Drive to the world famous Flaming Cliffs or BayanZag (Saxaul tree forest of the Gobi). Explore the site of the first paleontological findings in Mongolia by following in the footsteps of Roy Chapman Andrews. A highlight of this day is our chance to spend time with a nomadic camel breeding family and experience the true hospitality of the Mongolian nomads. Enjoy a short camel ride. Lunch, dinner, and overnight stay in a ger camp. Driving distance – 150 km (94 miles). (B/L/D).
Our next destination will be the renowned Flaming Cliffs, also known as BayanZag or the Saxaul tree forest of the Gobi. Here, we'll have the opportunity to explore the very site where the first paleontological discoveries in Mongolia were made, following in the footsteps of the legendary Roy Chapman Andrews. One of the day's highlights is the chance to immerse ourselves in the true hospitality of Mongolian nomads as we spend time with a family that breeds camels. You can also enjoy a short camel ride to enhance your experience. We'll have lunch, dinner, and an overnight stay in a ger camp, with a driving distance of approximately 150 kilometers, equivalent to 94 miles. (B/L/D).Day 7
Ongi Monastery
After breakfast we will drive north to visit the ruins of the once great Ongi Monastery. We will also visit the local restored temple and enjoy a walk in the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight in a ger camp. Driving distance – 150 km (94 miles). (B/L/D).
Following breakfast, our journey takes us north to explore the remains of the once magnificent Ongi Monastery. We'll also pay a visit to the locally restored temple and take a leisurely stroll in the picturesque surroundings. The day will conclude with dinner and an overnight stay at a ger camp. The driving distance for this leg of the journey is around 150 kilometers, or approximately 94 miles. (B/L/D).Day 8
Karakorum
After breakfast we drive to Karakorum, the striking 13th century capital of the Great Mongol Empire. Visit the Erdene-Zuu Monastery, which was the first and largest monastery in all of Mongolia. Tour the monastery and visit several temples, all with excellent examples of mesmerizing Buddhist Thangka paintings dating back from the 16th century. Visit the special and little-known Karakorum Museum. Dinner and overnight stay in a ger camp. Driving distance – 300 km (187 miles). (B/L/D).
After a hearty breakfast, our journey continues as we drive to Karakorum, the remarkable 13th-century capital of the Great Mongol Empire. Our first stop will be at the Erdene-Zuu Monastery, renowned as the first and largest monastery in all of Mongolia. Here, we will explore the monastery complex, visit several temples, and marvel at the exquisite Buddhist Thangka paintings dating back to the 16th century.In addition to the monastery, we'll also have the privilege of visiting the unique and relatively lesser-known Karakorum Museum. After this enriching day of exploration, we'll enjoy dinner and spend the night in a ger camp. The day's drive will cover a distance of 300 kilometers, approximately 187 miles. (B/L/D).
Day 9
Ulan Bator
After breakfast drive back to Ulan Bator. Picnic lunch. Overnight stay in a hotel. Driving distance - 380 km (235 miles). (B/L/D).
Following breakfast, we'll embark on our return journey to Ulan Bator. En route, we'll have a picnic lunch. For the evening, we'll arrange for your overnight stay in a hotel. This day's drive will encompass a distance of 380 kilometers, which is approximately 235 miles. (B/L/D).Day 10
