Nicknamed the Venice of the North, the city is built on over a hundred islands linked by a series of beautiful bridges crossing a network of canals and rivers. During your six day tour, a comprehensive sightseeing program will ensure you won’t miss highlights such as the Hermitage, the summer palace of Petrodvorets and the Peter and Paul fortress.

Along with paintings, the museum boasts unique collections of works of folk art, decorative and applied art, and numismatics.

St. Petersburg Boat Trip with an Audio-guideA new perspective on St. Petersburg can be gained from water-level and the boat trips visit some areas of the city that might not be reached on ground. The looming silhouettes of the bridges, the grandeur of the waterways, the granite embankments with their various piers and slipways, the 18th and 19th century palaces and parks on the banks of the Neva and the canals, architectural landmarks in the form of the domes and spires of churches and cathedrals, visible from a long way off - all this contributes to the unique appearance of the "Venice of the North".

Half Day Guided Tour to Tsarskoe Selo (Catherine Palace & Amber Room)Guided visit to one of the major architectural treasures of the Royal St. Petersburg - settlement of Tsarskoe Selo (Pushkin) located 25km south of the city. This small town has two gigantic palaces, set amidst huge and beautiful parkland: the glorious Catherine Palace, a Baroque masterpiece by the Italian architecture Bartolomeo Rastrelli, and the Alexander Palace, where the last tsar family dwelt. We will visit the Catherine’s Palace with the Amber Room. It features splendid interiors, designed by eminent architects Rastrelli, Cameron, Stasov and Monighetti.

Folk Show at Nikolaevsky PalaceThe folk show "Feel Yourself Russian" is comprised of the bright performances of St. Petersburg professional folk companies. During two hours of this dynamic colourful and picturesque show you will hear tuneful folk songs - romantic, and full of life, watch sparkling dances of different provinces of Russia, and learn that some items - such as saws, wooden spoons, and other traditional household appliances - can also be used as musical instruments! The national colour of the performance is enriched with the bright dresses made in accordance with Russian traditions.

Museum of Political History of Russia Guided TourThe State Museum of the Political History of Russia, former the State Museum of Revolution, was created on October 9, 1919, by decree of the Petrograd Soviet of Workers and the Red Army Deputies. Among the initiators were prominent figures in the Bolshevik Party and the narodnik (populist) movement, and representatives of the intelligentsia. By the mid 1920s it had a unique collection of revolutionary banners, an extremely valuable collection of leaflets of the different political parties, posters, and objects from that period.

Transfer from the airport to the hotel
At St Petersburg airport, make your way to the arrivals hall where you’ll find our driver waiting to take you to your hotel. Look out for the Go Russia sign he’ll be carrying.
Day 2 – Tuesday
St. Petersburg City Tour by Car
We’re confident you’ll fall head over heels with St Petersburg and today’s introductory tour is designed to immerse you in the city’s most famous areas to start that love affair. By car, we’ll travel to iconic sights including the Peter and Paul Fortress, St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Church of Christ's Resurrection (The Saviour of the Blood). The order for the start of the Great Social Revolution was given by Lenin over 90 years ago and you’ll pay a visit to the cruiser Aurora, the ship from which the cannon signalled this historic moment.
Day 3 – Wednesday
Yusupov Palace Guided Tour
The beautiful Yusupov Palace will always be associated with scandal, for it was here that Grigory Rasputin met his grisly fate. This influential figure, said to have wielded significant power over Tsar Nicholas II, was murdered here and the cellar where the crime took place now exhibits artifacts telling that gripping story. The splendor of the palace itself is a far cry from such horrors and you’ll delight in exploring its stunning interiors. Packed with sumptuous decor with the finest marble, gilded chandeliers and elaborate carvings dating from the 19th century, the palace offers an unrivalled glimpse into the life of a wealthy aristocratic family.
Day 4 – Thursday
Hermitage Museum (Winter Palace) Guided Tour
There’s almost no museum in the world that rivals the Hermitage for its collection of art. There are around 3 million pieces ranging from the artists of the Italian Renaissance to the French impressionists. With so much to see, you’ll be glad we include a guided tour so that you don’t have to make sense of it on your own. The Winter Palace, home to the museum, was not only the home of the Tsars but also the backdrop for the 1905 and 1917 Revolutions, making it one of the most significant buildings in the country. Commissioned by the Empress Elizabeth in the 18th century, its stunning Baroque facade is one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, making this an unforgettable place to visit.
Day 5 – Friday
Half Day Guided Tour to Petrodvorets (Palace, Fountain and Park ensemble)
Our final day’s sightseeing takes us to the suburbs of St Petersburg to one of its magnificent summer palaces, Petrodvorets, also known as the Peterhof. This palace, set in extensive parkland, features marvellous fountains and exquisite interiors, making it justifiably popular with visitors.
Day 6 – Saturday
Transfer from the hotel to the airport
Today marks the end of our tour. Our driver will meet you in the hotel lobby with a Go Russia sign board ready to accompany you to the airport for your flight home.

All the way through booking process and dealing with our extra requests, Julia gave a first class service and everything in St Petersburg ran exactly as planned by Julia from the moment we got off the plane. The Tour guides (Milena and Nadia) were also very good and knowledgeable as was the hotel reception staff. so this made for a great holiday.
Helen - our guide made an enormous contribution to our holiday. She was extremely knowledgeable with regards to art, history, culture and all of the venues we visited. In addition she was able to suggest places to eat and other visits etc. Best of all Helen has a lovely personality and we felt we were sharing the holiday with a friend!

Every little detail was catered for so that we felt safe and secure at all times that everything was taken care of. All the detail given before the trip was incredibly useful. Everything was on time and as planned. Guides were absolutely brilliant and their knowledge was amazing.
